About this event

French Afro House producer Demayä plays Greenhouse bar 2.0 in Sandton on Friday, 2 October 2026, with his set listed for 0:30. It’s one of the Full Bloom Friday nights at The Greenhouse, the house-heavy series the venue is running from late September through mid-October.

  • Date: Friday, 2 October 2026, set listed at 0:30, venue open from 6pm
  • Venue: Greenhouse bar 2.0, 24 Central, 6 Gwen Lane & Fredman Drive, Sandton, Johannesburg
  • Lineup: Demayä, as part of the Full Bloom Friday series
  • Tickets: no public prices or sales page confirmed yet
  • Where to buy: Full Bloom Pass via the venue’s Instagram, or table reservations at greenhousejhb.co.za

The night and the series around it

Demayä has built his name on melodic Afro House, with Traxsource releases like Sunset In Pretoria and sets for Kunye SA that have made him a known quantity in South African house circles. He fits the Full Bloom booking pattern exactly. The series announcement listed him alongside Liquideep, Zakes Bantwini, Dwson and Culoe De Song across its dates, so the 2nd sits inside a run of heavyweight bookings rather than a one-off.

The venue itself works in two halves. Early evening is dinner and cocktails under the greenery, with a menu handled in collaboration with the Shortmarket Club that mixes Mediterranean, French and Asian influences. From 9pm the focus shifts to the dance floor, and on weekends the room runs through to 6am. Demayä’s 0:30 slot lands right in that late window when the floor is at full stretch.

Tickets, bookings and what to know before you go

There’s no public ticket page for this date yet. The listings confirm the date, venue and set time, but no prices, tiers or buy button have appeared anywhere. The venue promoted a Full Bloom Pass for the Friday series on Instagram on 26 August with a link in bio, though a live purchase page with pricing hasn’t surfaced since. Table reservations are the surer route, taken through the venue’s site or on +27 60 663 9733.

  • Ticket link: TBA, no public sales page live for 2 October
  • Full Bloom Pass: promoted on the venue’s Instagram, pricing not yet published
  • Table bookings: greenhousejhb.co.za or +27 60 663 9733
  • Door policy: 21+ for women, 23+ for men

That age policy drew pushback when the series was announced. Comments on the Full Bloom post in August were less about the lineup and more about the gendered split of 21+ for ladies and 23+ for gents, with several people questioning the rule outright. The venue has kept it in place, so check it against your group before you plan the night.

Getting there is simple. 24 Central sits on the corner of Gwen Lane and Fredman Drive in central Sandton, an easy e-hailing trip from most of Joburg, with parking around the precinct if you’re driving. The Greenhouse trades Thursday to Saturday from 6pm, so come early if you’re eating and later if you’re strictly there for the music.

Touring artists have been rating the room too. Trancemicsoul played there in August and posted a public thank-you to the venue afterwards, the kind of signal that Afro House names see it as a proper stop on the circuit.

And if you’re mapping out October beyond this one, Spring Fiesta at Wild Waters in Boksburg and Music in the Jungle in the Cradle both land the same month.

If melodic Afro House in a dressed-up Sandton room sounds like your Friday, this one’s worth a diary entry. Watch the venue’s Instagram for Full Bloom Pass details and book a table if you want a guaranteed spot, because with no public ticket page live yet, reservations are the surest way in.
