Lineup and what to expect
Black Coffee headlines. The Grammy-winning producer and global Afro house ambassador is the biggest name the movement has brought to a Durban stage, and his reveal drew the loudest response as the organisers rolled the lineup out in phases. Shimza follows, DJ Kent brings high-energy dancefloor sets, and Stoffela completes the announced names.
New Wave is the addition worth noting. The organisers billed the Gqom representative as a Durban-specific join, a nod to the city’s own sound inside a lineup otherwise built on Afro house. Expect a full-day outdoor format with gates at noon and music through to midnight, framed as a festival that puts African excellence on stage rather than talking about it.
It’s the second KZN edition after 2025’s Botanic Gardens staging, and the bigger open field at the Kings Park precinct matches the scale of this bill. The warm-up acts are already on the calendar. Music in the Jungle hits Cradle Nature Reserve in October, and Amapiano Fest takes over the Botanic Gardens before this one lands.

Tickets, phases and what’s left
Phased pricing is doing its job. General Access Phases 1 and 2 (R350 and R450) are booked out, leaving Phase 3 at R550 as the cheapest way in via the official Howler page. Phases 4 and 5 are marked coming soon, so the entry price only moves up.
VIP follows the same pattern. Phases 1 to 3, priced R650 to R850, are sold out. Phase 4 sits at R1,000 and Phase 5 at R1,200, both with the dedicated VIP bar and toilets. Tables are open too. The four-seater runs R1,750 per person with gin and mixers included, the six-seater adds champagne at the same rate, and the ten-seater lounge pocket is R2,000 per person with champagne, gin and whiskey, all cocktail-style seating.

Getting there and the buzz
Kings Park Field sits on the Kings Park Stadium precinct on Jacko Jackson Drive in Stamford Hill, a short ride from the Durban CBD by taxi or ride-hailing. No shuttle has been announced and parking details haven’t been published, so plan your trip in and out. Entry is strictly 18+.
The buildup has played out on the organisers’ channels, where the phased lineup drops pulled the strongest engagement and #AINAJ2026 posts push early booking. Shimza’s mid-September ticket push drew over 62,000 views:
Durban goes first. A Johannesburg edition follows on 28 November 2026 for anyone who misses the KZN date.
If you’re into Afro house and long daytime sets, keep this date clear. The next step is simple. Lock in a Phase 3 general ticket at R550, or VIP Phase 4, before the next price jump.
