The Harrismith lineup and what to expect
The Harrismith graphic lists a deep bill. Menzi and Ntencane draw their own followings wherever they play, Umafikizolo crosses over from KwaZulu-Natal with a loyal crowd, and Shenge Wasehlalankosi has been among the most requested names in the comments all year. Jikijiki, Litshepe, Lr Mdumazi and Umntu Omnyama round out the live bill, DJ Leta Ken holds the energy between sets, and Bravo, the Big Brother Mzansi alum fans call the king of the bees, works the crowd as MC.
It’s a full-day format built around back-to-back live guitar, food stalls and the family crowd the tour has pulled at earlier stops. Harrismith closes the October leg, which runs through Maskandi Fest East Rand at Dries Niemandt Park on 17 October and Maskandi Fest Paarl at Mbekweni Rugby Stadium on 24 October.

Doek On Fleek Lifestyle, the movement Thandi Mavata built around empowering women, has turned maskandi into a proper national circuit this season. Harrismith is the first Free State stop, with Kroonstad the very next day, then Welkom on 5 December and Bloemfontein on 16 December.
Tickets, prices and getting there
General admission sits at R300, with R500 and R700 tiers listed for the upgraded options the tour runs at other stops. Early bird tickets went for R150 when sales first opened earlier in the year. Cooler boxes cost R150 and are cans only, with refills extra. You can buy through Fixr, the Doek On Fleek site or Computicket, or grab one at Shoprite, Checkers and Usave till points.
- General admission: R300

No sell-out has been announced for Harrismith, though retail channels have moved quickly at earlier stops. Comments on the organizer’s Harrismith posts show crews tagging each other and plenty of local pride, alongside price pushback. “Haibooo R300 like seriously” is the gripe that keeps resurfacing, so if R300 stings, watch the retail outlets for stock.
Intabazwe Stadium sits on 42nd Hill in the iNtabazwe township, a short drive from Harrismith’s town centre on the N3 corridor between Joburg and Durban. No formal parking plan has been published, so arriving early is the safe play at an open stadium like this. All genders are welcome and no age restriction has been stated for this stop.
If maskandi is your thing and you’re within reach of the eastern Free State, circle the date and get your ticket sorted before the last week of October, when the tills get busy.
