The Luxurious Marble Circus Brings Scorpion Kings, DJ Kent, Shimza & others to Muldersdrift
About this event
The Luxurious Marble Circus lands at Ground The Venue in Muldersdrift, Gauteng on 26 and 27 September 2026, with Scorpion Kings, Shimza, DWSON, Dlala Thukzin and others fronting the Sunday session on the 27th. Doors run 12:00 to 23:00 daily and general access starts at R990 via Howler. It returns after two sold-out editions, this time under the theme Evophoria.
It’s a food, fashion and music festival first, so expect theatre acts, curated dining and themed zones around the DJ sets rather than a plain stage-and-field setup.
- Dates: Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026, 12:00 to 23:00 SAST
- Venue: Ground The Venue, Plot 19 Driefontein Road, Muldersdrift, Gauteng
- Headliners: Scorpion Kings (Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa), Shimza, DWSON, DJ Kent
- Tickets: from R990 general access, terrace and table packages from R4,000
- Where to buy: Howler
The Sunday bill and what to expect
Scorpion Kings top the card, and Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa sharing a Sunday bill with Shimza is the reason the 27th is drawing the noise. DWSON and DJ Kent round out the confirmed names for the day, with the Luxurious Marblettes and the marching band covering the theatrical side. The wider weekend lineup also holds DJ Zinhle, Oskido, Mi Casa, Felo Le Tee, Shekhinah and the Soweto Gospel Choir, though day splits vary, so check the app closer to the time. Dlala Thukzin’s Evophoria set has its own breakdown too.
Beyond the decks, food sits with David Higgs and The Marble Group, running from street-food plates to premium lounge dining across the grounds. The dress code leans glamorous, gowns and suits all welcome, but comfortable shoes still matter since most of the venue is grass.

Tickets, tiers and availability
Playground in the Field general access opened at R990 and steps up to R1,250, then R1,550, as phases sell through. Weekend passes start around R1,450. The Imperial Terrace sits at R4,500 per person for a free-flow lounge, while Royal Lounge and Grand Dining Room tables run from R4,000, sold in groups of 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12. Terrace and table packages include food elements with drinks excluded, and general tickets exclude both food and beverages.

Several phases and tables are already gone, and the organisers describe the pace as “vanishifying”. Saturday tickets have started showing up in resale posts on Instagram, with a few buyers hunting swaps or upgrades, so if the 27th is your day, don’t wait. Regulars from the last two editions keep rating the production and food a 10/10.
Getting there and the fine print
Ground The Venue sits on Driefontein Road in Muldersdrift, about 30 to 45 minutes from the Johannesburg CBD depending on traffic. It’s a private-vehicle venue with designated parking on the grounds, so sort out your driver ahead of the day. Entry is strictly 18+, you can’t bring your own alcohol, coolers or weapons, and food and drinks are sold on site.
The weekend is crowded elsewhere too. SoulScene in Roodepoort runs on the 26th if you want a warm-up the day before, and Music in the Jungle at Cradle Nature Reserve keeps the west Rand momentum going in October.
If a luxury day session with the country’s biggest amapiano duo sounds like your kind of Sunday, this is the one to circle. Pick your tier on Howler and lock in the 27th before the next price phase kicks in.
