The lineup and what to expect
Culoe De Song needs little introduction. The Eshowe-born producer has spent more than a decade shaping deep, emotive Afro House, and his sets tend to move slowly and deliberately rather than chase peaks. Pairing him with Chronical Deep, a composer whose Deep and Afro House productions have become fixtures on South African dancefloors, gives the night a strong backbone.
The rest of the bill leans into texture. Da Africa Deep brings intricate percussion and hypnotic rhythms, ISIKO blend Afro House, Afro Tech and melodic electronica as a duo, and KGzoo rounds things out with his Afro Deep House catalogue. Gumz x Pansula should be one of the more interesting slots, with DJ Gumz’s productions layered over Pansula’s live percussion.
What separates The Source Collective from a standard club night is the production around the music. Organisers have framed it as a full audio-visual experience, with storytelling and custom visuals built for the room rather than a generic stage show.
