The full lineup
Ten acts are confirmed for the day. Uncle Waffles returns to Gauteng off the back of her BET win and a string of international festival slots, while Kabza De Small brings the catalogue that earned him the King of Amapiano tag. DJ Maphorisa joins him, the pairing behind many of the genre’s biggest records, and Focalistic adds his MTV Europe Music Award-winning crossover sound.
The undercard runs deep too. SAMA winner Young Stunna and Basadi in Music Awards honoree Zee Nxumalo are on the bill alongside vocalist Thatohatsi. Goldmax and Dankie Boi, winners of the SAMA32 Best Gqom Album award, appear with SAMA nominee Calvin Fallo, giving the day some range beyond the main-stage log drum. Expect rolling sets through the afternoon and early evening, with the market’s food stalls and bars trading around the stage as usual.
Tickets, parking and the venue
General admission costs from R450 per person. Tickets are live through the market’s events page under the PianoFest 2026 listing, and there’s no sign of a sell-out yet. An age limit for this edition hasn’t been published. The venue’s other October show, Sjava In The Park on 4 October, is strictly no under-18s with ID checks at the gate, so check the entry rules before planning a family outing.
Parking is the main thing to plan around. Taroko Farm pulls thousands of visitors on a normal weekend across its 18 hectares, and event days put real pressure on the on-site bays, which is why the venue pushes ride-sharing for its bigger shows. An Uber drop-off on Norfolk Lane will save you the queue.
Regulars will know the market built its name on slow picnics and more than 100 food stalls before it started booking proper stages. When an Amapiano session took over the lawns back in March, reactions split, with plenty of visitors loving the groove and others mourning the quiet-Saturday vibe. Piano Fest is the venue going all in on the festival formula.
If the date doesn’t work, the genre stays busy around the country. Amapiano Fest stops at Durban Botanic Gardens later in October, Spring Fiesta returns to Wild Waters in Boksburg the same month, and Music in the Jungle runs at Cradle Nature Reserve.
For Amapiano fans, this is one of the strongest single-day lineups Joburg’s eastern side gets this spring, set in a venue you can actually wander between sets. The one move now is to book your ticket on the market’s events page and sort your ride before 10 October.
