DJ and producer from South Africa, DJ Kent is back with the remix of the song “Breathing” by singer Jesse Clegg. The original song featured Shekhinah and was very successful nationally.
Breathing tells the vocals of the talented Shekhinah, sees Jesse heading in a new direction – and we love it!
Jesse’s music has always been more than a kind of poetry than a generic pop song and this is exactly the case of this track. However, Jesse enters a territory in which he has never been before as he adds heavy elements of the deep house into the music while DJ Kent does his magic by adding beats and instruments from Afro House.
DJ Kent is a cool guy, calm and collected – that is, until he reaches the decks and works crowds across the country in a frenzy.
Not only content with tearing the decks in the nightclubs, Kent also established himself as a producer. He was at the forefront of the now-dissolved production team, Kentphonik, which was signed by 88 Productions in 2005. He has worked on several hit songs that have since ranked him among the best producers South Africa has to offer .
